Welcome to ADAB
ADAB in Arabic and Urdu is a broad term with several expectations and values that we strive for i.e. all that is good in terms of character and behaviour, good manners, courtesy, expression of respect, hope and goodwill. We hope to deliver our services and activities in this way.
Our overall vision is “to support people from black, asian and minority ethnic communities including new and emerging, refugees and asylkum seekers, to help build their confidence and independence to become more active in the community and access services; broaden their knowledge and skills to be able to move into education, training or employment; improve their health and wellbeing and develop their sense of belonging as a responsible and valued citizen of Bury”.
Our top three key priorities for Bury 2015/2018 are:
- Improving Skills & Employability
- Building Stronger Communities
- Improving Health & Wellbeing
Are targeted at all residents living in Bury. Our current services are being delivered in some of the most disadvantaged areas of East Bury, Moorside, Redvales and Radcliffe.
We provide a range of services and activities to help build confidence, learn new skills and connect people and communities. We also provide advice, information and support to empower people to become independent and more informed.
