Confidence to Challenge and Change
This course enabled learners to identify a local issue that they felt needed addressing, they then researched the implications around the issue and presented their request and finding to the appropriate body or person.
This was an extension of the very popular and successful TRIF project that has been running at the ADAB Centre.
The learners identified health and wellbeing as an area of concern. In particular going back to basics and looking at the things we take for granted and the local to global links there are to this topic. The group has chosen the two sub topics:

The learners were dedicated and committed to the course and completed self study as well as shared study sessions in order to complete this course.
At the concluding session the learners invited local councillor Trevor Holt to present their findings to and were able to raise areas of concern to him. Which he would be able to relay back to his colleagues and discuss whether there was a wider concern regarding this subject in the community. In particular to raise awareness of the concerns expressed by the group. Councillor Holt then presented the learners with certificates for completion of their course.
