TRIF Project - This was a highly successful 10 week course delivered by our partners WEA at ADAB, introducing participants to the concepts of local and global impacts of decision making and to encourage learners to take an active role in their local and global communities.
Aims of the course:
The 10 week course included the following:

The learners chose the topic of sustainable transportation and the difference between the usage of bicycles in this country and in other countries around the world. The learners took part in two bike riding sessions. At least 6 out of 15 learners had never ridden a bike bfore and 8 had not been on a bike since a child. They were given the opportunity to learn how to ride a bike and after the 2 hour session 4 ladies who had not sat on a bike before could ride without support!!
Another cycling session took place in the half term and the learners brought their children to join them. Many of the children could not ride a bike either some even being in their teens and they had the opportunity to learn how to ride a bike. This was another wet and cold day but both adults and children had good fun and were able to learn and support each other.
