JOB TITLE BAME Business Engagement Officer
SALARY £18,500 – £20,000 Contract: 12 months
CLOSING DATE 10th April 2019 – 5PM

Inclusive economic growth is a key priority for ADAB and Bury Council. This post will work alongside departments of Bury Council to deliver a bespoke service to Black Asian Minority and Ethnic (BAME) businesses in Bury.

Working across partnerships and teams you will be at the centre of building relationships to ensure that Bury’s BAME business community understand, access and benefit from mainstream business support services and regulatory and compliance teams.

We are looking for someone bilingual who can make an immediate impact across our BAME community, businesses and partnerships.

You will work with colleagues across connected areas including skills, employment, health and wellbeing, policy development and business support.

This is a pilot project putting the post holder at the forefront of business engagement. If you like to connect organisations together for the benefit of communities, place and businesses this could be the role for you.

Experience of business engagement is not essential, but you will need good information technology skills, the ability to undertake research and analysis and produce high-quality written reports. You will need to be educated to degree level or have work experience to a similar standard.

Attendance at early morning and evening meetings will be required, so you’ll need to be flexible and committed to working outside normal office hours. Hours of work are 36 per week.

For an application form please contact ADAB on 0161 764 6749 or email

No CV’s accepted.
