DOMESTIC VIOLENCE & ABUSE

Domestic Violence is a pattern of abusive behaviour which keeps one person in a position of power over the other through the use of fear, intimidation and control. It is a very complex issue as there are many different ways of abusing someone.

It doesn’t have to be just physical – it can be emotional, mental, sexual and/or financial and can be applied in many different ways.
