Our team of experienced and dedicated childcare professionals work closely with parents to support the learning and development of your child to enable them in reaching their full potential. Feedback from parents has been excellent; they are delighted with the staff team as well as having access to an environment which is local and community based for their child to develop their social and communication skills as well as helping them to get used to the idea of ‘big’ school.
We provide specialist care and attention to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), making sure that they get the best possible start in life. We take extra care to invest in the development our young people that will provide long term positive effects through excellent foundations. Our early education is geared to improve cognitive development through leaning and play.

Mosses Community Nursery is an independent CIC providing a highly professional service offering a caring, stimulating, fun, learning environment to meet each child’s educational and social needs.
We provide our little people with exciting learning activities covering all aspects of the Early Years Curriculum. Our Nursery’s environment is safe, caring and friendly, a truly special place where every child comes first. Our high standards support children to learn and develop to the best of their ability, ensuring that they have a strong foundation in the knowledge and skills they need to start school.

Safeguarding
Safeguarding is the most important pillar of our pre-school nursery. The safety and security of your child is critical to us. We take every possible care to ensure that your child is learning and developing in a safe and secure environment. Our outdoor play area is enclosed with a 2.0m high security fencing. This ensures that your child is safe yet enjoying the freedom to explore outdoors within the confines of the play area. CCTV cameras cover the parameter of the building, the nursery rooms and the playground to ensure health and safety of staff and children. These CCTV cameras are monitored regularly by management for your reassurance.
All staff are enhanced DBS checked and only staff are allowed to enter the nursery. We have installed safety gates and window guards to make sure that your children are well protected. Only people who have been pre-approved by parents with passwords can pick up the child from the nursery.
Additionality
We provide regular updates and communication to parents so they have up to date knowledge of how their children are progressing in our pre-school nursery. The Nursery works closely in partnership with ADAB and the Mosses Centre, enabling parents to get additional support if they need it such as benefits advice, further learning to improve skills – ESOL, digital skills etc or take advantage of the many activities taking place under one roof. We work in partnership with multiple agencies to develop the local BAME community and the Nursery plays a critical role in this by providing excellent foundation in education.

We have exciting plans for development of the nursery including new learning and play resources for children and staff. Enhancements include
